Wheaton carted off in second practice back from appendectomy

At this time, we don’t know the exact reason why Wheaton had to leave practice on a cart. But it’s not an encouraging sign. Hopefully Wheaton was removed from practice for purely precautionary reasons.

Wheaton signed in Chicago as a free agent following four years with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Injuries have unfortunately hampered Wheaton’s ability to consistently stay on the field throughout his career. Over the course of those four seasons, Wheaton tallied 107 catches for 1,508 yards and eight touchdowns.
