Lawyer for Foreman says marijuana not RB's, gun was registered

Houston Texans running back D’Onta Foreman was arrested early Sunday morning on gun and marijuana charges, but his lawyer contends his client did nothing illegal.
An Austin attorney who represents Foreman claims the gun that was found in Foreman’s vehicle was legally purchased and registered in his name, as required by Texas law. The attorney also alleges the marijuana found in the vehicle was not Foreman’s, and that his client will take a urinalysis to confirm he has not used marijuana.
If all this is true, it will be interesting to see if Foremen ends up being disciplined by the NFL. Even if he avoids criminal charges in the end, the league may choose to discipline him under the Personal Conduct Policy, as it has done in the past with other players.
The Houston Texans have issued a statement of their own in which they acknowledged the arrest and that they are looking into the matter.
