Ducks take Game 4 vs Preds in OT, despite their best efforts to blow it
- Updated: May 19, 2017

The Anaheim Ducks looked like they were going to cruise to victory over the Nashville Predators during Thursday night’s Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. But with 6:27 left in regulation, P.K. Subban blasted one from near the blue line to cut the Ducks’ lead to 2-1:
That was followed by the Ducks committing two foolish penalties to give the Predators a 5-on-3 with under five minutes remaining. Anaheim was able to kill off those penalties, but still couldn’t escape regulation with a victory, as Nashville’s Filip Forsberg tied the game on this goal with 34.5 seconds remaining:
With two late goals allowed and two brutal penalties, this looked like a full-on collapse for the Ducks. But Anaheim was able to get it done in overtime, thanks in large part to the stick of Subban:
Corey Perry was credited with the game-winner, good for his third overtime goal of these playoffs.
The series is now tied 2-2, and Game 5 will be Saturday night in Anaheim.
