Draymond Green ticked a lot of Cleveland Cavaliers fans off after Game 4 when he said, “they don’t seem to be the sharpest people around.”

During Game 4, Green was booed soundly at times, and fans chanted, “Draymond sucks” more than once. Of course, Green was seen dancing to the rhythm of their chants. Clearly he wasn’t bothered.

Afterwards, he was asked about the chants.

“They make me feel good,” Green said, via Sporting News. “They show me how important I am to them. They be at home thinking about me. If you come to the game chanting my name, you at home thinking about me. So shout out to them, thanks for the love.”

Then he dropped the line about the fans not being the “sharpest people around.”

On Sunday, Green was asked if he regretted that statement.

Nope. Not even close.

If the Cavaliers manage to win a second game in a row in Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors, we cannot wait to hear the crowd’s reaction to Green. He was hot-tempered at times on Friday and was thought to have earned an ejection with a second technical foul at one point – a foul that was ultimately deemed his first after a supposed mix-up by officials and the scorer’s table.

It’s a mix-up we know Cavs fans don’t buy for a second. They’ll be ready to pounce on any opportunity they get to humiliate Green in Game 6. If they get that opportunity, that is.

Green and the Warriors will be looking to make those hopes nothing but a dream on Monday night when they host Cleveland at Oracle Arena. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET, and we expect another thrilling matchup between these two rivals, who showed some bad blood in the last game. It’s going to be tense from the get go, and you know LeBron James and Co. will be eager to wipe the smile off Green’s face any chance they get.
